Efficiency of Recycled Biogas Digestates as Phosphorus Fertilizers for Maize

چکیده
Despite phosphorus resources on Earth being limited, over fertilization in many agricultural situations causes significant resource consumption. Phosphorus-recycling within production can reduce global dilution into the environment and is thus essential to secure sustainable future supply. This study investigated efficacy of fertilizers recycled from biogas digestates maize shoots grown under controlled greenhouse conditions, two soils, a pot experiment. Variables were plant-available soil, plant biomass production, concentration phosphorus, calcium, magnesium shoots. Soils treated with three different fertilizer fractions, separated digestates, at equivalent concentrations, using combinations application techniques, isolated or combination, compared triple superphosphate (TSP) as reference. One fractions (P-Salt) had effects TSP surface soil. In second soil (with less active life nutrient content), equivalence was achieved (P-Salt dried solids). The enhancement fertilizing effect by solids synergistic, indicating that conditioning effect. results show are valuable source for recycling have even superior properties TSP.

Maize Silage as Substrate for Biogas Production
The presented work studies the possibilities of using maize silage for biogas production in laboratory as well as in full-scale conditions. From the results of long-term operation of a mixed laboratory anaerobic reactor, it follows that processing of maize silage as a single substrate is an unstable process due to the low alkalinity of silage that has to be compensated by pH adjustment. Specifi...
متن کاملPhosphorus acquisition and internal utilization efficiency in tropical maize genotypes
The objective of this work was to determine the relative importance of phosphorus acquisition efficiency (PAE – plant P uptake per soil available P), and phosphorus internal utilization efficiency (PUTIL – grain yield per P uptake) in the P use efficiency (PUE – grain yield per soil available P), on 28 tropical maize genotypes evaluated at three low P and two high P environments. PAE was almost...
متن کاملBiogas Production from Maize Grains and Maize Silage
The main objective of this work was anaerobic digestion of maize grains and maize silage and biogas production from these crops. Maize grains were treated using one-stage and two-stage anaerobic techniques; using hydrolysis and acidification as the first stage and methanogenesis as the second stage. Processing nonacidified maize grains in an anaerobic reactor is more stable, though the anaerobi...
متن کاملTransferable antibiotic resistance plasmids from biogas plant digestates often belong to the IncP-1ε subgroup
Manure is known to contain residues of antibiotics administered to farm animals as well as bacteria carrying antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). These genes are often located on mobile genetic elements. In biogas plants (BGPs), organic substrates such as manure and plant material are mixed and fermented in order to provide energy, and resulting digestates are used for soil fertilization. The fa...
متن کاملGrowth and Yield Response of Maize (Zea mays L.) to Different Rates of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilizers in Southern Nigeria
The effect of twelve different rates of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers on growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.) in southern Nigeria was evaluated between June and October, 2007. The results of the study showed that application of 120kgN/ha + 0kgP/ha and 60kgN/ha + 40kgP/ha significantly increased the growth of maize than other treatments. The application rate of 120kgN/ha +40kgP/ha signi...
